This course will introduce the properties of transportation systems and how to control them in order to promote their effectiveness. |

Understand the properties of transportation systems
Understand how to effectively conduct off-line control and evaluate their effectiveness.
Understand how to effectively conduct real-time control and evaluate their effectiveness. |

Prerequisite: Familiarization with “operations research” and “optimization model of transportation systems” is suggested but not necessary.
-Quiz at the beginning of each class.
-Do not use cell phone in class. |
